As part of the lead up to the National Eucharistic Congress in July 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, 4 groups of young pilgrims will make special pilgrimages to the Congress. Each group, consisting of young adults and accompanying assisgned clergy, will set off from various points in the United States and follow a route that leads to Indy. Along the way, they will pray, process with the Eucharist, take part in service projects, and make stops at numerous churches, shrines and important Catholic places.
The Marian Route will leave Minnesota and on its way to the Congress, will pass through the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana and even Kokomo!
Our pastorate is honored to welcome the Marian Route pilgrims on July 11th, 2024. Coming from Peru on the Nickel Plate Trail, they will arrive in Kokomo where they will:
